Yo-ho-ho and a... cute little cake! What kind of pirate cake do you make for a little boy's birthday party in the park with hidden treasure to find? Why, a treasure map one, of course! This CUTE cake is decked out with a little pirate, a giant "X" to mark the spot, a Jolly Roger pirate flag, anchor and gold coins scattered all over. No one is walking the plank over this cake.

The Owl and the Twister Dodge Ball Baby Shower Cakes
This duo of cakes were created for a not-as-traditional baby shower. The cute owl was created to match the darling invites to the new baby boy's party. The Twister Dodge Ball cake was created as an inside-joke for the mother-to-be who calls the baby "Twister Dodge Ball." It's even complete with that classic texture that all dodge balls have! I love the fun and whimsy of these two cakes!

Camping Cake
This camping cake was created for a avid camper who loves his red canoe. The details were so fun to create! Evergreen trees in different shades of green, a lake, boulders, logs, a campfire, red canoe and tent create the camping scene. Cupcakes were adorned with a wave of blue frosting and a canoe.

Ring of Fire
For all you Johnny Cash fans... here's a cake for you! My husband is a huge Johnny Cash fan, so I figured it was fitting to give him his own Ring of Fire cake. This super chocolaty cake is topped with a black silhouette of Johnny (as seen on the cover of "The Legend of Johnny Cash"), hand-painted on black fondant and encircled in buttercream flames.
Nursery Rhymes Baby Shower Cakes
These sweet little cakes were created for a baby shower with a nursery rhyme theme. I hand-painted original art on plaques made of gum paste to give the illusion of illustrations cut out of a children's book. The cakes were frosted in a soft blue with puffy clouds and stars and finished off with the illustrations and nursery rhymes piped on top.
