Architect Blue Print Cake

This cake is perfect for architects or anyone in construction. I love the monochromatic color scheme, and the blues really POP off the white cake. Complete with a t-square, drafting triangle and hand-painted, old-school blue prints.

Vino Lovers Birthday Cake

This cake was created for a lover of fine wines. I did a combination of hand-painted fondant on top of the cake with a little 3D accent of a cluster of grapes on the side for an extra pop.

Owls, Birds and Barn - A Non-traditional Wedding Cake

This was one of my favorite weddings to work on and so many of the details were almost as personal to me as they were to the bride and groom. I loved that they wanted a cake that wasn't traditional and they provided me with cute owl toppers to work with. I designed the cake to match their invitations and the barn was a replica of Pickering Barn in Issaquah, WA, where their wedding was held. The best part is the entire barn is their top tier of cake and they took it home to dig in on their first anniversary.

All around the cake are hand-painted silhouettes of birds and tree branches, with three-dimensional flowers popping off the cake. The barn is carved cake and covered in fondant with hand-painted accents. The cupcakes were topped with matching flowers - tying them all together. You can tell from their bright and vibrant decorations, that this fun couple really knew how to throw a party. Congratulations Chelsea and Kevin!

The cake and cupcakes went perfectly with their decorations.

Dr. Who Cake

I have to admit, I never watched Dr. Who until yesterday. I really didn't know anything about it, but that didn't stop me from diving right into this cake. My client wanted to surprise her husband, a big Dr. Who fan, with a carved cake. The TARDIS (phone booth) is made from many layers of 6" square Snickerdoodle cake with Cinnamon buttercream, covered in fondant and hand-painted. Dalek was made of rice cereal treats and covered in fondant and hand-painted. The surprise was a success and everyone loved the cake!

Golf Lovers Cake

This cute, carved cake was created for our client's husband's birthday - a golf lover. An 8" square cake was topped with a fondant-covered 6" domed cake which I hand-carved to look like a giant golf ball and then piped the top of the cake so it rested in "grass." The sides are adorned with fondant tees, golf balls, putting greens, flags and even some graham cracker "sand pits." Fore!
