Making Waves
This cake was made as a surprise for a young swimmer. I used fondant to make the "tiles" around the pool, the swirly waves and cute swimmer, but I think my favorite part has to be the candy necklaces used as the lane dividers.

Shamu Cake
This charming Shamu cake was made for a 2 year old's birthday party. A hand-cut fondant friendly whale and colorful wording tops the cake. Hand-piped "waves" add detail around the sides of the cake. It's a whale of a good cake!

Dots Cake Take Two
Here's a fresh take of the first set of cakes with dots I did last year. The creamy color of the Peanut Butter Buttercream called for a warmer set of colors. Warm shades of green, tan and brown dots and rings cover this cake. I absolutely love the graphic feel and honestly, it was like making my own cake. I love all things dots and green is my favorite color (along with the client). Stunning.

Holy Cool Cake, Batman!
This 5" cake might be small in size, but it's jam-packed with fun! A 3D Batman stands proudly, ready to take on the bad guys of Gotham City. Hand-painted city scape and words bring comic book elements to life. Who wouldn't love this cake? Oh, well, maybe The Riddler.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
These gorgeous St. Patrick's Day cupcakes and cute 4" baby cake were created for a 1st birthday party. I created four colors of mini flowers and teeny-tiny gold coins to top the mini cupcakes. I definitely think Seamus has the luck of the Irish with these beautiful cakes.

Dashing Dachshund Doggies
I have a special fondness for wiener dogs so when I got the call for a 5" wiener dog cake, I couldn't wait to get started! This was a surprise birthday cake for my client's wife. They love all things Dachshund and have two spunky ones. He provided me with pics of his precious pups so I could make hand-painted 2D fondant dogs. I absolutely LOVE how this cake turned out.

Bad Sweater Birthday Party Cake
Here's an example on how to personalize a Classic, Stuffed or Boozy cake. This was made for a Bad Sweater birthday party. Amazingly, there were uglier sweaters than this one at the party.

Everyone loves a birthday party. Especially these cute dinosaurs perched on top of Chocolate Manhattan cupcakes. Who said you needed to be a kid to love dinos?

Monkeying Around
These cupcakes were created for a surprise 40th birthday party. Cute little monkeys topped one dozen of cupcakes. "40" was made out of hand-painted fondant bananas topped two of the other cupcakes. I even created a special banana just for the birthday boy! Super cute and yummy!

Ladybugs and Toadstools
I made this colorful cake for a sweet little one year old's birthday party. Her dad asked for a ladybug cake and I wanted to create a fun little ladybug land with toadstools and flowers. Notice the special ladybug with a yellow bow just for her.
