Bluegrass and Mountains Cakes

Our client wanted to surprise her husband who loves hiking and plays stand-up bass in a bluegrass band. We created two beautiful cakes for the surprise party that combines his loves. One cake is our moist and dense Lemon cake, filled with Marionberry Curd and topped with Lemon buttercream. The other cake is our rich Chocolate cake, brushed with sweetened espresso, filled with Espresso buttercream and topped with Vanilla buttercream. Decorated with fondant mountains painted with buttercream "snow" and hand-piped grassy fields. The stand-up bass was made with hand-painted fondant and accented with real threads to make up the strings. A true work of art!
